General And Specifics

  • this is a good warm-up exercise
  • if you do not have much space, you can do it outside or on the spot

Starting Position

  • stand upright
  • the feet are hip width apart
  • the arms hang down at the sides

Correct Execution

  • make one step forward and lift the other - stretched out - leg with momentum, until it is almost parallel to the ground
  • try to touch the toes with the opposite hand
  • bend forward a bit to do so
  • lift your leg consistently and alternatingly, trying to touch the toes
  • do this for a longer period of time

tip for the workout

  • the ab workout becomes a bit more difficult, if you belt weight cuffs to your ankles
