General And Specifics

  • this stretching exericse is an alternative to the strength exercise Lunge
  • improves the flexibility in the lower back area, hip and hamstrings

Starting Position

  • begin in the Push-up position
  • your back is straight
  • the arms are stretched, the hands right below the shoulders
  • your body forms a line from head to heel

Correct Execution

  • bring one foot forward and place it outwards next to the hand (left foot next to the left hand, same with the right side)
  • lower the hip a bit to intensify the stetching
  • hold this position for 15 to 20 seconds
  • the hands always have contact to the floor
  • afterwards, bring the leg back to the starting position and repeat the motion with the other one
