Starting Position

  • grasp a broomstick
  • put one foot ahead a little
  • the feet are parallel
  • if the left foot is ahead, put the left palm of the hand at the end of the broomstick
  • the other hand encompasses the other end of the stick with over hand grip
  • keep the upper body straight
  • brace the glutes to stand stable
  • guide the right hand to the opposite hip
  • the other arm is stretched out back

Correct Execution

  • push the left hand up diagonally until you can feel the stretching
  • the right arm is angled in front of your body
  • hold the tension for 15 seconds and switch sides
