Starting PositionExecution

Starting Position

  • grasp an ez bar or a barbell shoulder width with under hand grip(the backs of the hands point down)
  • the legs are hip width opened, stand with slightly bent knees
  • pull the shoulder blades back, hold the head in extension to the spine
  • the elbow joints are close to the body and bent a little
  • hold the bar in hip-height

Correct Execution

  • pull the bar up until chest-height, stay close to the body
  • the elbows are going backwards
  • do not touch the body in this movement
  • bring the bar close to the body back into the starting position
  • the elbows come forward again
  • while moving the weight up and down, hold the bar close to the body
  • repeat the exercise
